Obituary of Frederick Meagher

Fall River, passed away suddenly with his family by his side on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the age of 77. Born in Fairview and raised in Waverley, he was the son of the late George and Freeda (Bambrick) Meagher. 

Fred will be greatly missed and always remembered by his wife of 53 years, Katherine; son, Jason; daughter, Colleen (Derek); grandchildren, Joshua, Evan and Jayden; and sister, Carol (Jim).

Dad, known for his razor-sharp wit, was an avid pool player who loved all sports.  Nothing could shake his devotion to the Packers, Blue Jays & Habs. He could often be found watching his grandsons at their various sport practices and never missed Josh and Evan's football or rugby games (Go Dragons!) or Jayden's baseball games.  It was no secret that his family meant everything to him; he could always be counted on for help, support or advice (whether asked for or not). Forever with a smile and a whistle, he lived each and every day to the fullest.

At Fred's request, a private service for the family will be held at a later date.
