Obituary of John David Crawley

Age 46 of Mount Uniacke, passed away at home on April 9, 2021 surrounded by the people who loved him. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Kenneth Crawley & Valerie Crawley (Swinimer).

John was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  He was known for his sharp wit, amazing sense of humor, and laid-back attitude. He could always be counted on for his tech skills and computer knowledge. John loved life and his greatest love was his family; spending time with Tammy and Veldeara.  He enjoyed golfing, camping, making his homemade pizza, campfires with friends, game nights, and making people laugh.

John survived by his loving wife and best friend, Tammy Harris and his daughter, Veldeara, also by his sister, Jennifer (George) King; nephews, Jake, Jesse, Zach, and nieces, Katie and Maddie. He will be missed by many but especially, Shawn Darby, Ali Tooke, Nick Hattie, Marc MacIntosh, Robin Hollett, and Theresa Findlay, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. He was predeceased by his fraternal grandparents, Kenneth & Jeanette Crawley; maternal grandparents, David and Cecilia Swinimer; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Maritime Cremation Centre.  Due to COVID -19 restrictions a Graveside Service and Celebration of John’s life will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetic Society.
