To Marilyn's Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Marilyn's health issues and far too early death - such a shock.
So many memories flood back. We were locker mates in the last class from the Heights at Halifax West. We played soft ball in the ladies' summer league. I always had to borrow a glove from one of the boys. Then there was the bowling league. She kept the stats. She drove us to classes at Mount Saint Vincent in her first little car. We did the theatre trip to New York. I remember her helping one of the professors buy a scientific calculator for his son from some street vendor at 11:00 at night. We wandered through Central Park on own and got scolded for being reckless. She hung the curtains in my first apartment in Bridgewater. She returned from our Jamaica trip with cornrows and a tan. I only got a sunburn. So much history and yet I didn't know she was ill until the very end. I am sorry I never stayed in touch.
May your cherished memories bring you some comfort at this difficult time.
