Obituary of Gerald Arthur Robertson

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gerry "Gear Bear" Robertson of Windsor Junction, NS, on May 9, 2023 at the age of 74. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by Beth, Brent and his fur baby "Dexter" after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survived by common law wife of 37 years, Beth and son, Brent; daughters, Shelley (Jeff) and Tracy (Tom); grandchildren, Ben, Melissa, Adam, Jesse, Andrew, Brady, Spencer; great grandchildren, Liam, Theo and Otis; brother, Don (Jeanne); niece, Lauren; aunt, Blanche (Arthur, deceased); cousin, David. Besides his mom and dad (Grace and Ken) Gerry was predeceased my many loved family members.

Gerry moved from PEI on August 1970 where he worked for Tasco Roofing. He started his own roofing company B&R Roofing, established April of 1973. The business continued to grow with his brother Don to a successful company for the last 50 years. Gerry loved to collect old cars and spend time with family and friends. He was a kind person and touched everyones life in a positive way. He made many great friends and will be missed by all. If asked for advice, Gerry always had the right answers. Nobody could tell a joke like him, he would have you laughing before he started. Gerry will be forever remembered for his kind heart and giving nature.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Kinsmen Community Centre, 71 First Lake Drive, Lower Sackville from 12:00 - 4:00 PM. We welcome family, friends and acquaintances to come together to share stories and remind us of the importance of family connections. Cremation has taken place. A burial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
