Obituary of Kenneth Patrick Crawley Jr.

Of Harrietsfield, sadly passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the age of 69.  Ken was a son of the late Kenneth and Jeanette Crawley (Landry).  

Ken was born and grew up in Halifax.  He loved his family most of all and will be deeply missed by his beloved partner, Theresa; his loving daughter, Jennifer (George); his daughter in law Tammy; his step-children, Kathleen and Ryburne (Jasmine); his cherished grandchildren Jessie, Jake, Katie, Zachary, Madelyn (Maddie) and Veldeara. His step-grandchildren, KayDen, Kylie, Brooklyn and Autumn. His loving siblings: Ward (Dora), George (Jenny), Jerry, Dale (Melissa), Janet (Gary), Elaine (Stacy), his brother in law Nelson and sisters in law, Ardais and Wanda; many more nieces, nephews and extended family. Ken was predeceased by his son, John; his brothers David and Dennis and sister, Dianne and sister in law Angela.  Also, his beloved pet, Gizmo.

Ken was an extraordinary guitar player and singer.  He loved his music and always enjoyed the jam sessions with his friends.  Ken worked as a bus driver for Coach Atlantic for many years and during which he met and continued friendships to this day. Ken loved his jokes, one liners and he lit up the room when he entered it.  Ken enjoyed his buddies at Tim’s, bantering with them nightly and going to the legion to play crib and enjoy the company of his many friends.  Ken always enjoyed his trips to Toronto and the lengthy chats with Mike and Debbie.  He loved the trips to Newfoundland he and Theresa would make and further explore new places and meet new family and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the doctors and staff of the QEII emergency department for all their efforts.   

Ken has been cremated and further arrangements will be announced at a later date.
