Out of my Dad's siblings, the uncle I knew and saw the most over the four decades I've been around. A warm and funny guy who put family first over everything else. Never bereft of a tall tale or a dumb joke to tell whomever would listen. He was and is greatly loved and will be sorely missed. Rest well, Uncle Parker.

Our condolences to all of Parker’s family and friends. We have SO many fond memories of him usually around a dinner table. Whether it be a “Christmas in July”, family BBQ’s, or the once yearly fish chowder dinners at Mom & Dad’s house- she did NOT like fish but made it for Dad, Nanny, Parker and Daisy. Somewhere there was always room for an ice cream birthday cake. ❤️ rest in peace.

When growing up, our family would visit Aunt Nora and our cousins. When we reach adulthood, we strike out on our own. Like Parker, I also joined the Air Force, and this was the time we started to lose touch with our cousins. It has been too long, but we do remember the good times we shared with those cousins. To all of my Russell cousins, Parker is in my thoughts and heart as we share his passing. God bless.

How he fit that finger in his nose will forever be a mystery... Uncle Parker will live on through his (mostly factual) stories and we will happily pass them on for him. Rest in peace my friend.

My memories of Uncle Parker are some of the happiest memories of my life. When I was very little Uncle Parker (aka Uncle Junior) would make tapes of him and my grandparents telling anecdotes. My parents would listen and laugh and my Dad (Carl) would be happily transported home for a while - at least in spirit. When I arrived in Canada Uncle Parker was the first person I met from our family. He was loving and easy to talk to. When we went to his house it always felt like we were having a party. He wrote beautiful poetry, and we had a happy time showing him around New Zealand when he brought Nanny out to visit us. His stories were funny and captivating and he always had time to spend talking to us.
