Very sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. We were friends as kids growing up, played hockey and enjoyed the activities that young people were involved in back home. We went in separate directions as young adults, and lost contact for many years. Had a nice visit with him in Winnipeg in the '80s and was pleased that he hadn't changed. I hope that the many memories you have will help you through this very difficult time.

I had the distinct pleasure of first meeting Sandy near the end of his CAF career. He later became my boss at Dal Security, although I really always viewed him as a friend and a mentor. We kept in some occasional contact over the ensuing years and he always joyfully "boasted "of his beautiful family, he was acutely aware of how he was so blessed.
Rest in Peace my friend .
Peace and Blessings to your family

Dear Mona and family,
I was saddened to hear about Sandy's passing. I know that he was ill and he is now at peace, but it is never easy parting with those whom we love so dearly.
May all the beautiful memories that you hold, keep him alive in your hearts forever.
Love, prayers and strength to all,

My sincere condolences to Mona, their sons and all loved ones. Sandy was an extraordinary MP and, most importantly, an honourable and decent person.
It was always a pleasure to enjoy his company, be it on the job or - even better - socially. We’re all better off for having him in our lives.

My heart is broken to receive the news of such a dear friend Sandy. My husband Joe Cripps, spent many hours in conversation in our living room in Fall River (of course it was mostly “Military Conversations “) and lots of good laughs followed. Sandy always had a good joke to tell, with his dry sense of humour. Mona it hasn’t been easy for you, to see your wonderful husband suffer with this terrible disease. Mona you are a very strong woman attending to Sandy on many visits to comfort him while going through serious health issues yourself. Will keep you and Larry, Darren, Neil and Todd in my prayers. God bless you all. Love Annetta

My condolences to Mona and family. I knew Sandy since both being posted to the RCAF Base and Summerside with the Air Force Police/Military Police. We reconnected at CFB Halifax and continued our friendship. A great example of dedication to the to the trade and the Canadian Forces. He worked hard but always displayed a sense of humour. RIP Sandy and your duties here are complete!
