Obituary of Anthony Julien Henri Sampson
Anthony "Tony" Sampson, born in London, England, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at Parkstone Enhanced Care in Halifax on October 24, 2024.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Debra Mari. He also had two sisters, Annette and Noreen, with whom he lost touch over the years. Tony is survived by his chosen families, Cindy Norrad and Glen Reid, who were always there for him.
Tony was a gifted locksmith and took great pride in his craft. He was also a Life Member of Calais Branch 162 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He served as the Branch Sergeant at Arms and was with the colour party for many years. Tony loved playing the harmonica and his music was enjoyed by all who had the pleasure of hearing him play.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Couture, Karen Barnett (Speech-Language Pathologist) and all the staff at Parkstone Enhanced Care for their support and care of Tony during his residence. In addition, we would like to thank Dr. Terry Mullan for his care of Tony in the past.
There will be a funeral mass at the Holy Trinity Parish (formerly St. John Vianney Catholic Church), 4 Beaver Bank Road, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. There will be a reception downstairs after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, 7 Scarfe Court, Dartmouth, NS.
