Obituary of Joseph Charles Perry
68, Lower Sackville. It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Chuck after a long battle with cancer on May 9, 2020.
Chuck was a kind gentle soul who had a love of rabbit hunting earning the name of Slayer by his buddy Earl. His kindness radiated to others and if you had the privilege of knowing him you loved him immediately. His sense of humor was infectious, he loved playing pranks, and had everyone laughing, even when he wasn’t feeling well. He was a decorated veteran, having earned an award for bravery. He loved his life in the military. He will be missed immensely by those who knew him. They say you can tell the character of a person by the way he treats animals; his passion was animals, he loved them immensely therefore, donations can be made to an animal shelter of your choice in his memory.
He is survived by his spouse, Charmaine; daughter, Deanna (Peter); stepsons, Sean (Justina) and Hughie Dewitt; many grandchildren; siblings, Ellen Parker (Doug), Michael, Judy, Stewart (Jane), Margaret (Norman) and John. He will be missed by his fur babies, Daisy, Buddy and Rocky. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Theresa; sister, Betty; brother, Sonny and recently his daughter, Natalie (Brian), who passed away this week.
In keeping with Chuck’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
Rest easy sweet Chuck; until we meet again!
